Borrowed Angels

Another glimps in the head of a crazy person

A Wicked Day in London

Quote: Are you having an “ahum”  moment?
Song: For Good – Ashleigh and Dianne
Mood: High on Wicked

Omigod you guys, I loved today!

Okay, so we had to get up really early because the cleaning lady was gonna come buy. Luckily, we were up when she showed up at 9am >.< what a time to come cleaning… half of the girls were still asleep if you ask me. (which she actually did o.O )

So, when Lisanne and I were ready, we went out and I showed her this little store Ilse and I discovered yesterday with some dresses that Lisanne was looking for. I checked for new shoes there, but the uggs I liked didn’t come in my size in Black. And the dark brown ones didn’t fit -_- so that sucked majorly! But Lisanne found a really cute dress :D so that was a YAY for her.

Afer that we went to the Primark where I bought new shoes! Coz the converse i was wearing are broken so I was getting wet socks every day, and since I am already sick, wet socks are the last things I want! Oh, talking about being sick, I’ve lost my voice several times today, so it sucked pretty much. Still coughing like mad and it is killing me. I thought the meds were supposed to help you get better, not make it worse -_-

After the Primark, Lisanne and I met up with Ilse at Victoria station to buy me a ticket to Wicked :D When we saw ilse, she told us that she had been talking to the guy behind the ticket counter about getting a ticket close to the seats she had booked before, because we wanted to be able to sit close together. He told her that he didn’t have something free close to the other two seats, but that he could cancel those other two seats and give us three next to each other. We thought it would be somewhere in the back row, but it was actually the same row, but on the other end XD hahaha. It was great!

So then we bought japanese food (wasabiiiii!!) and ate it at Victoria station. We tried to get something from the claw machine, but they didn’t work, so we split ways. Ilse had to go back to school and Lisanne and I went back shopping. We went to the Dress Circle and spent about 4 hours there (teehee) I bought two books for Wicked, one was the brochure for the London cast and one was the book with the notes for the piano :D and I bought Lisanne a pair of ballerina earrings :D She liked them a lot :P she kissed my cheek twice, bahahaha.

After the dress circle I took Lisanne to the Cyber Candy shop, where she bought ONE jelly bean of every flavour! Hahahahaha, I can’t believe she actually did that XD She wants to try them all, so she bought one of each. It was hilarious. We also bought Pocky, coz… well… you HAVE to eat Pocky. it’s one of the most simple and delicious things you can think off. it’s like a pretzel covered in chocolate and very yummie. I also bought Kora energy strips and freaked. Kora is a Maori facial tattoo and OMG they come in energy strips O_O who could have imagined?

So when we were finally happy with the stuff we got (read, Lisanne finally had one of each flavour of jellybean, teehee) we paid and left the store to go in search of an HMV. We found one on Leicester Quare and spend the rest of our time there, really. I looked at so many dvd’s, I thought I was going blind at one point. What I did see, and that was most adorable, was a tiny little mouse :D And I am not talking about some wind up toy, no this was a reall life mouse that ran across the floor. It was about the size of my thumb, so it was itty bitty, but so adorable. I finally settled on NONE dvd’s (can you believe it? me not being any dvd’s??) and buing a bag instead. I discovered with all the gifts I bought, the bag I brought from home is too small. So I bought myself a new one :D it is uber cute! I’ll take a picture when I’m home again :)

So since we had a rather big lunch with the Japanese food, we didn’t feel like eating something heavy for dinner, if at all. So we settled on going to the Starbucks and getting a panini and a coffee. And then we had to hurry because Wicked was about to start in half an hour.

Upon arriving at the Apollo Victoria, we first laughed at all the people waiting in the queue for tickets… so happy we got out tickets in the afternoon **insert evil laugh here** and then looked at the stuff in the Ozdust beautique. We then walked over to our seats and talked for a little while we waited for the show to start. And let me tell you, it was amazing!

Oliver was missing, this was a very sad thing, because the last time I saw him was with Kerry’s last. He’s only off for a few days, but I haven’t seen the guy or heared him in almost a year. Sad, sad, sad. But to make up for it, Ashleigh
was on as Elphaba :D This was my first time with Ashleigh
in the lead and she has a voice like an angel. She is A-friggin-mazing! I have no idea why they gave the lead to Alexia, when Ashleigh was right there! She is a lot better than Alexia if you ask me. Ashleigh’s voice was clear and she hit those notes like nobody’s business. I have got some major respect for this woman and her vocal cords, let me tell you. Dianne was on as Glinda (tho I was hoping for Sarah :P ) and she seemed to have some problems with her voice in the beginning, she was grabbing her chest the whole time.  Dianne was a whole lot funnier today, then I’ve seen her before. It turns out she has a stomach bug (or a stomach Boq as we are calling it right now) And was feeling rather poorly, but that didn’t stop her from delivering a killer note at Thank Goodness or some major funny ” toss toss”  bits in Popular. During Dancing through life, where Galinda gets her training wand, Dianne was whooshing it around like always, but this time she actually broke the training wand. Yes, you heard it right… she BROKE her wand, bahahaha! That little piece on top broke off and fell to the floor **chuckles** Dianne then spent the next few minutes looking for it, but we kept seeing it and she kept missing it. To cover the broken wand up, she held it behind her back while doing the rest of the scene. We were in tears, laughing so hard. Then Popular was on and Dianne did a very low voiced ” toss toss”  that Ashleigh copied  pretty damn good. Dianne nearly threw Ashleigh off the bed as well, which gave us the giggles. Then of course there is the part where Galinda tries to turn Elphaba’s dress in to a ballgown and fails misserably. Dianne did a VERY loud Ballgown the second time and we laughed so hard. So when she tries to see if it is on and Elphaba asks if she should try it, Galinda throws the wand behind her in to the Wings. But somehow the wand bounced back this time and hit Dianne in the back. So she’s standing there with her hands in the air, turning around to look behind her. She spots the wands and picks it up (while all of us were dying with laughter) and smiles very big and throws the wand behind her again, almost knocking out some of the lamps, hahaha XD
So then They go on to the other scenes and nothing much happened that was strange *unless you count Alex and his funny faces* until we reached the second act. That little piece of wand that went missing during Dancing Through Life was still on stage, almost tripping Ashleigh. I swear that wand is leathal *nods* The witch fight was rather funny when Dianne hit Ashleigh in the face and then went ” oh”  and looked at her hand. Did she really hit Ashleigh? :o we think she might have. Ashleigh hit her right back *haha* and then the fight was one. Lots of rage there for Glinda, hahaha. She was Possitively Possesed. Dianne does have a very scary song… i think that is one woman you do NOT want to meet in a dark alley at night. teehee. So then up to the last scene everything went pretty good, until Dianne delivered the line “let it go, they’re just shoes” with a horrified sigh at the end as if she couldn’t believe she just said that. For Good was sad, so sad. I cried… I always cry. For Good is just my song in Wicked, it’s the only song that really makes me cry. But i am not ashamed of it, the lyrics and music is damned good! And the people I’ve heard it sing, they brought me to tears. I just love this song so much!

So then the musical was over and we  walked over to the Stage door. I wanted autographes and pictures with loads of people, but most of them walked the other way (did we just see Sarah walk away?! :o she didn’t even see us! She didn’t come over to say hi, nawwww) Harriet was first for us to get a picture with. We also gave her the picture we promised her back in November, the one from Wicked Day. She was really happy with it :) so then we waited for other’s to come out, but most just walked away. it wasn’t until Dianne came out that we were happier again, haha. I told Dianne I couldn’t believe she broke her training wand and she was like “First I broke my trianing wand, and then I almost broke a lamp when I threw it away!” I then asked her if she had a problem with her voice, because she looked a little ill during the first Acte, but she came back so strong in Thank Goodness that we were just in awe. She told us she had a nasty stomach bug and wasn’t feeling all to well. **Hope she gets better soon tho, she’s a lovely woman!** Then Ashleigh came out last and we were the only one left at the stage door by the time she came to us (one of the adventages of being the last in line, I guess) so she walks up to us and very, very, VERY happily says ” hi!!”  to us and Lisanne starts laughing as I wanted to say hi back and how wonderful she was, but instead ended up in a coughing fit and almost loosing my voice. So Ashleigh asks me if I’m okay and I just tell her that I am and that I was just hoping not to loose my voice completely before talking to her and she was all sympathetically ” ooh, are you having an ahum moment?” and I was just like ” yesh!”  and she told us that she had a few of those the last week and we talked about when Sarah was on as Glinda anytime soon (since Ashleigh and Sarah are always on Twitter together as both of them are standby for the leading roles and are mostly in the Wings dressed up) Sarah will be on next week from Wednesday until Saturday for those that want to know :) Ashleigh is of course hoping for a show with her :D And be honest…. aren’t we all? We talked a little about how we flew over from the Netherlands to see the show and were just happy as a clam that Ashleigh was on :D And she loved that, she did, hahaha. She is a sweetheart that girl ;) with a set of pipes to rival…. well most Elphaba’s really. She’s my #2 at the moment, with Kerry still #1 :D

I think that was everything Wicked for today really. Because after that we just went home and had something to drink and ate a tiny chocolate dessert :P And then i had to wait like an hour and a half before I finally got the laptop and the time to write this blog. So now it’s 2:30am and I should probably go to sleep :P

oh! I also bought some more gifts for my puffin, even if she doesn’t want me too :P I’m giving her all my ” puffin!!”

Love,
Mo
